Flashback: β#50. Many many things in January and February 2023
+3: Customer Success Specialist, COO, Head of Marketing
In March and April, three people joined our team:
- π΅π± Kseniya Piotukh as a Customer Success Specialist βI know you are very cool so Iβm happy to begin my journey with youβ.
- π¨πΎ Katsiaryna Skrobava as COO βI am passionate about driving process improvement, enhancing operational efficiency, sales and marketing strategies and delivering exceptional customer experiencesβ.
- π¨π Robert Valu as a Head of Marketing βIβve been in marketing/advertising pretty much my entire adulthood (I tried software engineering but after having built a more than buggy invoicing software on my own, it was beneficial for the whole industry that I gave up)β.
Now we are having a pause in our hiring activities to think deeper about the future and decide what roles we need most.
βοΈ Fibery + AI
We released Fibery AI in April. Here is the blog post with more details about Fibery AI vision and future. We focused on three things:
- AI Space creation (this is fun)
- AI Text assistant
- AI in Automations
We got tons of positive feedback and we use it ourselves to write release notes and tweets, categorize fuzzy information, summarize Intercom chats. AI in automations works surprisingly well and can save a lot of time already.
Fibery AI is π₯β¦ I know that you guys like to sound like an underdog but I really admire your way of execution! Masterpiece!
Check Fibery AI webinar to learn many useful use cases that will help you in your daily work.
π° $50K MRR and some metrics
Weβve reached the first serious milestone: $50K MRR. Our growth is not stark, but steady. We should increase our velocity and find some acceleration patterns. Luckily, we now have Robert (our new Head of Marketing). Our minimal viable target till the end of the year is ~$80K MRR.
Leads quantity is increasing last few months and in April we had a record this year (1350 leads). Weβve disabled paid advertising in March, but we have more and more organic leads (which is good).
We also started to ask βHow did you hear about us?β questions during the registration process. Most people reply. Since this is a free-form question, we categorize answers using Fibery AI (and it works!). Here is the chart that shows the number of leads by source:
BTW, here is the prompt that does the categorization for us. This was a hard problem to solve in the past, now it took me 10 minutes to create this prompt and set up an automation that fills Source Category field.

π³ -1 PR Agency
We collaborated with Headline media PR agency for 6 months to see whether Fibery is an OK case for PR. It appeared that it is not the case just yet. While they did a good job and Fibery appeared in dozens of publications, we did not get into major media resources.
Thus we decided to not continue the contract and think about PR later.
π Planning our first offline company retreat
Fibery is a remote company with more than 30 people on board. We started to miss each other. A lot. Many people have never met each other. So we decided to have regular offline retreats to get together, discuss things, nail future plans, talk to each other, and form stronger relations.
Weβll have our first retreat in π¨πΎ Cyprus 8-13 May in beautiful villas near the beach.
Everything is ready. Luckily, we have Kate (our new COO), so she organized everything. Weβll discuss the most pressing issues, like growth, and define the future of Fibery. Here is a part of our agenda:
π Product Updates
DONE
In March and April, we had 8 releases with many many cool features. Here are the highlights:
πͺΊ Nested Documents
You can now easily create a hierarchy of docs to better organize info. This works great for knowledge bases, customer support, notes, and even personal to-do lists.
π Location Field
The new Location field stores location as an address or coordinates, giving you more flexibility in how you manage your data.
πΊοΈ Map View
Map View is a powerful feature that allows you to visualize entities on a map. With Map View, you can easily see where your customers and leads are located, plot properties for sale or rent, visualize services. You can see several databases in a single map, set map style, visible fields, filter, and color code markers.
Views nested within Documents
This lets you create local Views within Documents and rich text fields, making it easier to whip up temporary reports or dynamic data docs.
Relation filters & sort
When youβre linking entities, you can set up filters to exclude done and archived work, remove irrelevant suggestions, and help maintain a proper process.
Nested filters
With filter groups, you can combine the logical operators in any way you like:
Breadcrumbs in Search and in Views
Weβve added breadcrumbs into search results and all views, so now it is harder to get lost in Fibery.

We want to migrate because we are unhappy with ClickUp, mainly because the performance has gotten so bad. And I found Fibery in the ClickUp support community because somebody mentioned, βYou should move there [to Fibery]β.
